A Little Girl Shocked Bill Gates With Her Question

Arfa Abdul Karim was a Pakistani girl who set the record of becoming the youngest Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) in 2004 at the age of 9. She represented Pakistan on various international forums, including the TechEd Developers Conference. She received the highest literary award of Pakistan, the Presidential Pride of Performance from General Pervez Musharraf in 2005

At the age of 10, she was invited by Bill Gates. He was impressed by her so he made her fly to America to meet her.

They met at Bill Gate’s office. During the office tour, she asked Bill Gates that why fewer women are working in the office? Why there are more men?

The question is seems to be simple but Bill Gates himself stopped for a second and look around because Arfa made him realize that the ratio of women in the tech industry is way less than men.

He replied that you are right and I also believe there should be women working in the tech industry. One more thing that he realized is that Arfa observing everything she is not only interested in the computers she is also admiring the environment and additional.

Which makes her more special.

She invited Bill Gates to Pakistan and Bill Gates accepted her invitation and promised to come. She flew back to her country. Then something happened for nobody was ready.

After 2 years Arfa passed away due to Cardiac arrest and left the whole country in tears.

She received many awards and gave numerous interviews. The vice president of the Microsoft development division wrote about her in his blog. She became the Icon of young women and inspired thousands of young girls.
